What they should have done in the West was have them vote for what time they want to play the premium game... at least then bars that want to continue to compete real time and unquestioned could do so (assuming BT would be able to label feed played.

Of course that makes perfect sense and should have been offered to every West zone location as an option. Except that in BT's very twisted mind, the locations don't know what's good for them. They don't realize that if they just put the games on at different times, they'd have all these new, younger players replacing all the fussy established (i.e., older demographic/not attractive to advertisers) ones. And even if the location might be happier with its established players at the earlier time (e.g., as has been mentioned in other posts/responses to BT's blog) before a "second shift" of people doing other things such as watching sports comes in, that's not what BT wants because BT is bound and determined to get those "primetime" people whom they're sure will be greater in number and better in demographics.

I hear the next bug is the ability for the East Coast players to vote on whether the West Coast feed works that night.

Well that is the first bug that I ever saw that appeared to be designed for the system and seemed to work.

My wife thought that they did it on purpose and it blew up in their face so much, they had to say it was a bug in the system. I don't agree. They haven't really listened to the players yet.

I'm really not sure what to make of it, I highly doubt they meant to release it last night and then pull the plug after one night. The only logical bug explanation is that somehow the option for selecting games on channel B was accidentally replicated on channel A. The explanation that I fear is that the code is in the system for future use and was not meant to have been released last night.

It happened tonight in the West on Six. I'm sitting here working on my laptop - won't play until the repeat games are over at 8:30 Pacific because I refuse to compete on repeat games - but saw it happen.

Did not happen on the East feed, thank Koresh.

I'm betting tomorrow BT will issue a statement stating it takes time for the patch to propagate throughout the network.

At Hardtimes, in the east of course, we did have to vote for SIX so things are still hinky.

Only saw 2 west bars in the CDs before the premiums. Guess 330 and 400 are too early out west.

So who out west put up the perfects tonight?

I think what may have happened at our bar (Broadway Station in Queens, NY) is that because of a local foulup we didn't get to vote on the game, and at 8:00 we started getting the NIGHT SHIFT feed. (We could have emailed that to the West Coast, if anybody was interested.) That's all we got until 9:30 when I was the last one to leave. Some of our players were so PO'd that they might not be back.

I told my Wednesday SIX team on what going on with this voting thing. I extend everyone's sentiments that this is fucking bogus.

There was a post on the Mensa NTN-SIG (which is pretty much an all-SD group) about a location where the players didn't even get to vote on SD, because the management had chosen CD for them. So BT goes to all this trouble to get SD and the other premiums on primetime screens in the West zone only to have the locations prevent that from happening so no one at the location every gets to play them?

Bingo!

We are having the conversation of having certain games (such as Canada, Eh?) selectable on Channel A, but for now, only Channel B is selectable. It was not our intention to have player select on premium games.

Kat, you really don't want to let them catch you on here right about now.

There was still a voting option tonight for Topix; did not notice for Six.

I for one am very curious about the Canada-themed games, and I hope BT goes along with this idea.

I agree with Spotes, the new regime will find you here. BTW glad you showed up here to see what's on our minds and why we don't like what we are seeing outta BT.

It's good to see you here, Krazikatt! Thanks for braving the hornet's nest to speak to this issue directly. I hope you know that the vitriol you see here isn't directed at you personally.
