The manager of the Vista Sports Bar (Norman OK) confirmed last week what most of the locals have suspected for some time. After a fruitless search for a new site, the Vista is now closed for good. The Vista, which was located on the sixth floor of the Adair building downtown, has been closed for almost a year after serious structural deficiencies were found in the building and the city stepped in. It was apparently cheaper to do a complete overhaul of the building than implode it, but the owners decided to convert the old Vista space on the top floor into offices. With the Vista gone, Sooner Legends bar on the west side of town just off I-35 is now Norman's only remaining Buzztime option. |
