The "management" at Paddy McGuidos' in Naples, FL decided to pull the plug on Buzztime on August 4, 2010.

For those of you who don't know, Nora and I are the proud parents of a healthy baby girl named Kathryn Elizabeth. She was born Friday, April 30th at 1:48pm (EST) in Fort Myers, FL. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth.

Since Kathryn's arrival, we tried everything to keep the game in the house thinking it would be nice to have while we catered to Kathryn's needs. Believe me, when she starts kicking and screaming in the middle of a Playback game, the attention seems to shift from the game to the baby. Honestly and truthfully, Nora and I just came to our senses and realized that this was just becoming an expensive system that we hardly used anymore. And, the money we were paying out to Buzztime over the past four years was enough to buy a small car outright. Were we in hock because of the trivia system? Not hardly. Our business was able to support the system, but when we were looking at increasing the bottom line...the trivia had to go. It made the best sense and our silent partners/investors agreed.

We're not sure when we'll see a Playmaker again. It may be next week, next month, next year. Who knows? For the time we had the game, it was fun. It was nice to sit at home and play, but when the priorities started shifting last fall when I started my doctoral classes and Nora preparing for Kathryn's arrival, the game didn't seem fun anymore.

Currently, Kathryn is three months old. She's smiling, cooing, and occasionally laughing when we talk to her or make funny faces. Typical parents. It's funny how Nora and I can go from an intelligent conversation with each other to talking baby babble to Kathryn in minutes. Kathryn is a good baby. We love her alot! Do I remember what my life was like three months ago prior to Kathryn's arrival? I don't remember. Kathryn filled a void in our lives and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Take care everyone!

The last of the "home game" is gone and its just bars and restaurants (plus a church in Arnold, MO) that left having NTN/Buzztime systems.

Hope u two can find time of playing NTN again somewhere. I hope u click the "no home bar" tab on your handles so we know your without a home.

We will miss seeing Paddy's on the board on Tuesday nights.

Good luck with the kid Jason & Nora. But now what are your Miami neighbors going to do when they visit?

As to house sites, there is at least one left if not more, one is just down the street from the Redskins training camp. I heard Albert Haynesworth was there yesterday playing BT & sucking down beers after sitting out the condition test & practice yet again.

GO SKINS!!

Didn't we use all those handles in Houston? Don't forget I BORG which we used as well.

Quite recently a bunch of players have severely curtailed their playing due to starting a family. In a way it's sad to see but it's for the better good of the family. People grow up I suppose, not me, but others.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family. Regardless, I don't think that the 'FHAQQR' handle will be retired.

Since FHQQER may not be playing nearly as much as he once did Image, more than a lil consideration is being given to F someone or something else. Image

Sorry to hear the owners of your home site were such inconsiderate jerks. From the sounds of things, you were there everyday and this is the way they treat you? Unless they have good food and drink prices and an attractive staff... I wouldn't ever go there again... SCREW them! Maybe you'll get lucky and a new site will open that is closer to where you live.

I was always jealous of those who had home installations. Good luck with the family stuff, though.

Well, after further review, neither FSPOTS nor FSPTES makes the first cut. Image

Well, of course not.
That's because I'm beloved around the world.
And I didn't even have to study that damned pan flute to earn it.

I was thinking more along the lines of people from other bars that have been known to borg from time to time.
