We walked into Harry's on Saturday night, one of our regular rotation of Buzztime joints and were told that they canceled their Buzztime account. The claim was that Buzztime TRIPLED the cost. I have my doubts about that, but I don't doubt that it got too expensive for them to keep as I never really saw many people playing. Too bad, it was reasonably priced and the food was good. |

If it tripled their cost, they must have been getting labor and food free. Nevertheless, it is an expensive service. Always sad to see a favorite site drop the service. You have my condolences. |

I should add that Harry's would never have the tv tuned into a Buzztime channel. They would put it on if you requested, but wouldn't have it on ahead of time to generate interest. A buddy of mine was telling me that he went in on a Sunday to watch the Bears game and play trivia, but they refused to turn any tv onto Buzztime because they also pay for the NFL package. With as many tvs as they have, they could have easily spared one. |
