Here are the Topix for next month...

    November 1 - Boston
    November 2 - Marilyn Monroe
    November 8 - Fads
November 9 - Short Lived Series
    November 15 - Famous Novels
    November 16 - Music of the 70's
    November 22 - Don't Forget The Veggies
November 23 - Movies About Food
    November 29 - Birds
    November 30 - TV Dramas

Only one that I particularly look forward to, although I may play all the Thursday games out of curiosity, exept for 11/22 when I will probably go out for pizza. ;) One Friday game that I may play out of curiosity is 11/16. :)

Prediction: I enthusiastically run out to play Music of the 70's, only to be crushed when the game consists of eight disco questions, six country questions, and one rock question wherein we'll be asked to identify the aggregate beard length of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Jerry Garcia, and Cat Stevens at the end of the decade.

Well, I know of at least one person that'll I'll be able to beat on November 1st.

This popular California singer was conceived just five years after the 70s were over ;)

Boston is the one I like best on the list

. . . trouble is, that night the CPO is doing their special 25th Anniversary of the Carthy Organ show. I sure don't want to pass up a live performance of the 1812 Overture

Somebody let me know if there was a question about candlepin bowling or the Harvard Bridge's smoot markings

Is that more than a feeling?

No candlepin, no Haahvaad bridge... Had a perfect 14 in a row on two boards (thanks in part on at least one to our resident brainiac,MEEE) before the "Hull House" did us all in. Oh well, almost pulled it off.. Even though he didn't see it, (flippin' spilt!!), got to duly recognize that big Red Sox fan in SoCal...

Other questions included Faneuil Hall, the Charles River, what event is held the 3rd Monday in April, what year Fenway came to be..stuff like that.

Brilliant, I can rest easy now :)

It sounds like a good game, which Topix has become again on Thursdays. It just wasn't geared towards my specific tastes

Edit: I almost forgot . . . FLILJL :P

My experience exactly, playing 5 boxes at SRO OT. There were two more players (whom I call the "Kells", because they used to play as Kel1 and Kel2, but going into it they said they couldn't contribute because they didn't know anything about Boston).

I really should have split my perfect boxes and at least gotten the top individual score, but I didn't. Congrats, Diamond Lil's.

Does anyone know if Katy Perry has covered any 70s songs?

November 16 - Music of the 70's

I guess I'll never get my oft requested Swimmers of the 70's category. Maybe I'll try to head out and look for some Kansas or Elton John questions, but fumble on disco and country.

Nov. 29 - Birds

It was great to finally get a game on the Birds topic, even if most of the questions were quite easy. Ironically, I missed a possible perfect score because of the 'Brown Falcon' question! It was great to see Freeman's Little New York in Halifax get its first #1 score in a premium game, though.
