WTF.....Last night's game should've been Sci-Fi Movies 2013.....this one really takes the cake IMHO. Last few questions asked 'bout movies haven't been released yet...like the new Riddick film (2nd sequel of "Pitch Black") |

Perhaps the person writing the game had no knowledge of the subject and just bought a ticket to the multiplex and spent an afternoon wandering from theater to theater, taking in on the way the posters for "Coming Attractions." Although we got it, because "Ender's Game" is one of my all-time favorite books and I've been looking forward for years for the movie to finally be made, it seemed particularly unfair. It's one thing to ask about "Elysium," which is coming out soon and whose previews have widely appeared on TV. But "Ender" is not coming out until November 1st, and only this week did we see the preview while going to "Pacific Rim". Brooke/AARDVK |

Forgot to mention that once more, we had a completely erroneous question. It was where would one find Titan, the place all Earth's survivors had been relocated to in "Oblivion". As we knew Titan is a moon of Saturn--and Saturn was one of the answers offered--we hit it for the K, only to learn on the final clue that the NTN/BT question writer had relocated it to Jupiter. Brooke/AARDVK Add us at the Mill to those disgusted with the game. Yes, we had ok scores but some were guesses and 1 was luck in that we went with Jupiter not remembering where Titan was... Trendalicious was almost just as bad. |

Since I was already at Palooza, it was no problem at all for me to stop playing that garbage in disdain. Although, I do feel sorry for folks that made an extra trip out to play. That insult of a Topix game did set us up nicely for Spotlight, though. When "Comic Book Movies" came up for the final, I mentioned it would probably be about The Avengers given how recently it was released. That got us thinking about it ahead of time which is ALWAYS helpful when trying to overcome that god-awful lag. Ugghhh.... |
