Just saw this on the BT page:

    Nov 1 - Harrison Ford
    Nov 7 - Alabama
    Nov 8 - 90s Grunge
    Nov 14 - Australian Animals
    Nov 15 - Political Drama
    Nov 21 - Fall Football
Nov 22 - Shall We Dance?
    Nov 28 - Famous Families
    Nov 29 - Film Families

Not a real promising list here as I'm not a football fan. For me it's 11/7 and maybe 11/14.

As for Trendalicious Trivia (Food Coma), the list goes:

Nov 1 - Famous TV Chefs
    Nov 8 - Famous Restaurants
Nov 15 - Starters and Apps
Nov 22 - The Main Course
    Nov 29 - Decadent Desserts

Alabama the band or the state? If it is the band, I'd count on some Katy Perry questions to be included. :P

What were the three cities that the Breakers were located?

Boston, New Orleans and Portland (Oregon). They would have played on a man-made island in the Pacific if there had been a 1986 season, continuing their move west.

Oh wait, was I not supposed to answer that one?

Boston, New Orleans and Portland OR, if I recall correctly.

another 50-50 on the grownup day. I'll play the first two Thursdays and ignore the other intrusions of pop culture into that lineup. Obviously nothing would drag me out on any Fri Topix.

May play tonight for Ford. Other than that, Grunge Topix and Fall Football.

We were all slow on at least one

Miss Pooh had LA and I had NA.

. Wiki at lunch gave me the population question

I've been to the cave, many times.

I'm surprised Bauwhowers wasn't up there

I enjoyed tonight's game. The only question I did not know the answer to had "socks" as that answer (it was Question #5.) On the last question, I bled a little over 200 points before realizing that "cave" was the answer (Russell Cave). Overall, finished with just under 14K (solo), which is pretty good considering I've never been there. :)

[Edit] Actually, there was a second question whose answer I did not know. It was a a question of what cheer was used at Crimson Tide games, and I had no idea. So I just pressed the longest answer and got 1000 points anyway.

Alabama was a bit (not a lot) too easy for my preference but it made up for a bugger of a Six I guess. Hopefully next week will be fun as the topic itself is quite fascinating - an overwhelmingly endemic species population with isolated evolutionary factors and yet surprising amounts of convergent evolution.

Wait... are you still talking about Alabama...?

My favorite question in the 90s Grunge game was:

Which 1981 song...

Agreed. Overall I liked that game. Had 12.5K which was not bad. Had 2 50/50s and I was on the wrong end. The one that pissed me offf was the Pearl Jam album as I can never remember which came first. And I don't consider REM grunge.

i knew it was going to be some damn stone age leftover linguistic gibberish that did me in on Aussie animals. Should have guessed it was a bird since my ornithological knowledge is scanty to say the least. Rest of the game was decent enough though. Reasonable mix of gimmes to keep the idiots playing and more informed questions to make it interesting for the educated types. Now I get to play CD instead, maybe even stay home, for a couple of weeks at least until they come up with non-schlock on Thursdays again.

Fall football was fun. Good mix of college and NFL questions. Some of them were obscure (at least to us at the Mill). Ended up at 13.7K.

My only quibble is that they had a question or two on college marching bands thrown in. Sort of the equivalent of having a game on the topic of a television show and then asking about the commercials that were broadcast during a particular episode ...

Well, hell. As long as that marching abomination from that eternally damnable junior university wasn't mentioned...
