Some interest in this one among the Gaithersburg Park fans.

Any NP fans outside of the Vegas crew?

We've got a crew that are fans of sitting out on the patio at our local BWW on a nice evening.
If I can get some folks to join me tomorrow night, the Bloomingdale, IL crew will be out.

I am looking forward to it. I hope there will be lots of questions about Gates of the Arctic.

Victory belongs to the 2 of us at BWW Gaithersburg MD.
Just Ken K and I played tonight. 2 number 1s in CD as well as the Tooix.
7th on SIX, congrats to Cafe Cottage on the win.

Speaking of Lafayette, I hope the Cottage folk knew what NP was originally named after Lafayette.

2 #1s in Topix back to back.

Followed up the National Parks win with a victory in One Hit Wonders.

Saw the Playback peeps from Pittsburgh and OKC but not Kalamazoo or Dayton.

We at Chicago Sam’s did not know which NP was named after Lafayette, but I chose Acadia as an educated guess, figuring that a place in Maine would be more likely to have a French name than the other places mentioned. Our toughest question was the park that Route 66 used to go through; I split my boxes with ZOG getting the right answer for about 600. Considering that we were without two of our key players, I’m happy with a #2 finish for Topix; congratulations to BWW Gaithersburg on their win.

I was hoping for questions about national parks in other countries, otherwise last Thursday’s game really was “U.S. National Parks.” We have (or Buzztime has) enough Canadian players that there should have at least been questions about Gros Morne, Kluane, Banff, or Riding Mountain NPs, etc.

You know exactly what we did in Spotlight. 8-)

We were distracted by a bunch of screaming kids, costing us 1300.
Congrats to those on Naperville Rd. whoever they are.

Thanks and Nice going RWM and the Sam’s CT guys on 2nd I believe. I was sure Rtt 66 went through AZ, the others didn’t seem feasible. Ken went early ish on Acadia I didn’t. That was about the only real trouble.

The interesting thing is we didn’t have one of our other NP fans, that has written a NP Learned League game to be played soon. Try to check that out online.

Very nice game I thought, happy with the current Topix writer.

Route 66 also went through New Mexico, which to me made Carlsbad Caverns plausible, but not convincing. I looked for a better answer (Petrified Forest?), and split my boxes.

(Conveniently forgetting the one about the name of the Crater Lake mountain. No clue and most of our point bleed there.)

As for Spotlight, we were on a run of mediocre numbers and somehow that one didn't win the night the way ours in Friday Topix and Trendalicious somehow did. Go figure.

That's one of the great benefits of supporting BWW. They are a family restaurant and not a sports bar.

As evidenced by their utter incompetence in selecting and allocating channels to show.
