More content editing needed, I believe. The Twilight Zone did not start in the 1960s. While the debate of "one answer is more right than the other," they really shouldn't have two correct answers up there.

I agree. Lost a ton of points on that one.

Luckily I saw Battlestar Galactica in my initial scan, and selected it as "more correct".

Shouldn't have to do that.

Oh, stop being bitter because your brother got it right and you didn't. :P

What was the question in question? (Just generally curious how last night's game went, since 86th St was closed for the holiday)

IIRC it went something like "All of these Sci-Fi TV shows started in the 1960s, except..."

We lost a bunch of points on the question as well, because even though COOGS was saying "What about Battlestar Galactica?," I knew because I'd gotten it right in a live s.f. trivia competition that "Twilight Zone" premiered in October 1959.

How hard can it be to fact check the premiere dates of the four supposedly wrong answers to be sure they did all premiere in the '60s?

Same here, Brooke. I was basically saying, "I don't care. The Twilight Zone started in 1959." I got the ole "Battlestar Galactica is more right though." Well, I don't give a shit. Twilight Zone did not start in the 60s. There's no logical way someone writing a question could think that other than not caring.

I lost about 800 on it.

I also went with Twilight Zone. In fact, I precalled Twilight Zone, because I knew it premiered in October 1959. One friend yelled out Battlestar Gallactica, and I grudgingly made the switch.

I guess fact checking requires some work be done on the part of Buzztime. They proved that they don't like to work many years ago when they dropped the Academy Awards Show game with the excuse that it required too much work.

Wasn't there a Glory Daze question a few weeks ago asking what happened on some particular night in October 1959? The answer then was the premiere of Twilight Zone. I seem to recall some question similar to that. However, my short term memory isn't what it used to be.

The question has been asked in a variety of ways, with almost every time being a '59 indicator. A while back (no idea when) they said Twilight Zone started in '60. Can't remember if that was Sci-Fi or some other game. Reported it back then, too. Shouldn't have assumed they'd actually fix it.

I don't much get into the stupid debates about what Buzztime is doing, but there is no quicker way to kill something related to trivia than to make repeated mistakes. The last three times I've been out I've seen ones that truly affect the end scores. This one still didn't make me as angry as the Playback bollocks though from last Saturday (right answer isn't on screen, only someone entirely ignorant of the subject would have picked the "right answer" if not splitting).
