Well, hell. Maybe it's time to address an issue with the tablets that (IIRC) has not been done yet.

From all appearances, subscriptions for the tablets must be in multiples of ten, which is a major change from the Blue Playmakers' multiples of five. IMO this is a very poor change, especially for the independent sites, for which (at least IMO) ten may not be enough, but twenty is far too many. There *were* a few sites here in Buzztime's Site-Poor (and soon to become again Horribly Site-Poor :( ) Backyard for which fifteen was the ideal number. I'd go so far to suggest that the current requirement to subscribe for ten or twenty was a factor in the impending loss of one of those.

Suggest that Buzztime figure out some way to allow subscriptions in multiples of fives rather than tens.

Maybe we should revisit the topic about all games counting regardless of the number playing.

On the west coast, hardly any games count after 8:30 most night and even earlier on other nights. At the least if one gets a perfect, it should count even if only one is playing. The requirement that 300 needs to be playing is ridiculous.

The east coast doesn't have that problem. It certainly doesn't give one an incentive to play late.

I know you played well before we got gold medals for perfect games. While it does suck there's not that many players later in the evening, I fail to see why that would take some of the fun away from it. Unless it's just too easy to win or the like.

I just don't think we as long time hard core players should be overly concerned about the stats, rather focus on the fun and friends.

I'll play regardless if I wish to play, but I have heard that complaint way too often. Maybe it's just that. They just have to whine about something.

If this is your doing, Thank You, Thank You!!!

Our NASCAR expert will also be delighted, as well. Should be an entertaining battle.

Chris, I'm looking for a good Topix (NASCAR) battle tonight.
We should have 5 or 6 players at Fireside Ale House to go against you Walsh's guys.

That's about where we'll be in terms of personnel. 4-6, most likely.

Clint, thanks for getting that NASCAR game on last night. It brought back memories of BT's Raceday Sundays. Nice game, congrats to Fireside and Walshs, 1st and 2nd, we ended up 3rd.

We had trouble with the oldest Daytona 500 winner.

We also stumbled a bit with that the oldest Daytona 500 winner. Cale Yarborough also left us stumbling a bit.

I just donated about 100 Raceday shirts. Trying to purge everything Buzztime related, I am preparing for the end..

Had a lot of Daytona 500 questions.
Maybe next February we'll see a Daytona 500 Topix.

Brutus I totally agree with you. Believe it or not, video games are over 50 years old at this point. Half a century's worth of trivia and I feel like it's one of the most underrepresented areas of knowledge in buzz time. I see it now and then, but most of it is base level stuff. Once in Sci Files we were asked a question about Final Fantasy, one of the most famous RPG series of all time. What did we have to know? That it was, in fact, a video game (the other answers were other types of media such as books, film).

I'm not sure if Clint still checks this thread, but I am willing to help write questions for a game on video games. I was thinking a 10 question game, perhaps packaged with another 10 question game on manga/anime. 30 minute trivia block, stick it on a relatively empty day like Monday. It helps to draw in younger players, and at the same time it can be well crafted to the point it is simply a solid test of knowledge.
