Buzztime says there tablet sites are up to 61 but the last two that have been added are questionable additions. Casey's Pub in Loves Park, IL can't be found when you click on its link. White Street Brewing Company in Wake Forest, NC has no players nor any game activity listed for its site which is funny since it is a college town. So I consider the list to be actually at 59.

I made a comment on FB about a photo and the tablets and perhaps they should put the BEOND in sites based on play/rankings.

BT was nice enough to send me a list of BEOND sites, none of which were within a hundred miles of my site.

Thanks, BT.

Tonite my home site had their employee Christmas Party, so I went to the local BWW. They just got the tablets and my first impression is they SUCK. I couldn't login because you can't use the space bar in your user name.

Three locations in Houston will have them soon.

Ramon, which locations? I see Tailgator's Pub on the list on the Buzztime website (with no address, but I assume it's either the one up in Magnolia or the Woodlands). I'd like to try the tablet, and Magnolia/the Woodlands is a lot closer than Dallas, but I'm hoping for something more central.

The GM at the Baytown BWW's said Baytown, Cypress, and Conroe. He said it should be in Baytown on Thursday. I dont know when the other two places will have it.

Played on the tablet at BWW Huber Heights, Ohio today. I think the blue boxes will become a thing of the past. If Buzztime wants to stay relevant this is the path they had to take. The downside is that multi-boxing would be much tougher, but I don't think the goal of any establishment is to have one guy banging away at five boxes at once anyway.

Biggest plus is the questions being displayed onscreen.

We had a chance to play the new tabs on Saturday and kinda liked them. The biggest problem at our BWW was they seemed to be having some kind of problems with them, of course that could have been due to the newness of them. However, nearly all of the boards were out.

There were only 8 people playing Buzztime (no one was playing poker), yet nearly all of the boards were out, which tells me that people had them and were playing the other games and stuff the tabs offer. That could be a problem if you go to a place that has a lot of kids. "Here, play with one of these so Mommy and Daddy can talk."

The Store Manager and the Franchise Owner for BWW Farmville seem pretty happy to have me banging away on five boxes at once. I rarely do it during peak hours; I welcome other players and buy them drinks; I attract interest to the game because Farmville usually shows on first screen; I tip well. There's even a white board near my usual seat showing BWW Farmville's standing relative to other leading BWW sites in North America.

But BWW Farmville is a VERY low-volume BWW, they've got a Buzztime monopoly over a 5,000 square mile chunk of Virginia, and I'm investing a fair amount of money into supporting the restaurant. If I were sipping Dr. Pepper and tipping exactly 20%, or if the site were busier, they'd rather have the barstool.

Ah, in a way this is a double edged sword. Having the questions shown on the tablets also gives sites a ready excuse to take games off monitors.

The Tablet Takeover has crossed international borders (allegedly)

The Rack, Edmonton: http://www.buzztime.com/site/39152 -- 13 P+ registrants, 3 of whom have played more than one game
Yates Street Tap House, Victoria: http://www.buzztime.com/site/39118 (Hey, SIGIS, feel like making a little bike trip?)

BWW, Merida, Yucatan: http://www.buzztime.com/site/39103
BWW, El Saucito, Chihuahua: http://www.buzztime.com/site/39104 -- One P+ registrant with 5300 points, but zero game play data
BWW, Cancun, Quintana Roo: http://www.buzztime.com/site/39105

Of these sites, only The Rack shows up in the regular Site Finder

Tablet site count is "265 records" today

There are a few cases similar to yours but they are fairly rare. As you know, when playing LTT with TRH, I play 3 boxes and he plays two. I'm not against multi-boxing but I think most places would be better off with someone else using those other two boxes than me. Now if no one is using them anyway I see no problem with it at all.

I see your point but think the good outweighs the bad. I'd rather have the question right in front of me, and not have to crane my neck, and have zero risk of not having a monitor on the game.

The only advantage to having the game on the monitors is for letting people know the game exist and for advertising purposes. As cool as having a board full of FBOSOX and F CUBS is, no one who doesn't play trivia pays much attention to it anyway.

This is one thing that does worry me a bit. I suppose the goal is that places will order more boxes... probably unlikely in most places. The sad fact is that trivia players alone just weren't enough to keep Buzztime floating and something had to be done to modernize their system.

Nuts. For some of us, the game reads far better on monitors than tablets.

Joel, The monitors indeed better for teamwork for bar scores....but Dave, the established BT locales needs to get the tablets if the blue playmakers gonna be be a thing of the past.
