Hmmm, sounds like a guy I had a run in with 10 years ago there although I don't remember the handle.

Golf buddy and I were there for the web.com event and played trivia one night. Huge guy who was the local big dog was there with two minions and getting more than a bit irritated as he's getting his ass handed to him in his own house. Question comes up, "The strait of Juan de Fuca separates what two countries?" No problem, my buddy is Canadian and he knew it as well. The other four choices were latino in nature and the final clue was a negative. (I sure miss those days) Naturally the ignorant big dog was all over the wrong answer and when the answer was revealed bellowed loud enough for people outside to hear "That's fucking bullshit!" When they showed the scores for everybody including our two 1k's he screamed it even louder. He couldn't take it any more, he paid his tab and stormed out.

Lol, I had a somewhat similiar experience with the same question. Was playing and when I got it right a guy accused me of "having to have cheated or seen the question before". When I told him it was pretty easy considering I was born just north of Seattle he just looked confused, grumbled and went back to losing.

We once got hosed on that in a live trivia game. Seems there is also a Strait of Juan de Fuca between Chile and Argentina or something, and the host claimed that was the correct answer, rather than USA/Canada.

Getting back sort of on topic, tomorrow I hit 10M points. :D

Sorry, does not count. You've been double-dipping on Sports Trivia games solely to increase P+ points.

Why is it that players won't lift a finger to attempt to win prizes worth tens of thousands of dollars in trivia but will continually jump through hoops to increase their precious P+ point or badge total? I just don't get it.

I have to ask why even bring this up. There are many players out there with inflated points through Buzztime errors or having Buzztime combine accounts that were multi boxed on the same games. Also, all the stupid advertising games and incentives Buzztime had to increase points. Not to mention my favorite. Players playing other players boxes. For the most part, point totals have almost no meaning anymore. Everyone knows this so why even bring this up. Are you calling Tiefly a cheater? I take anyone's point total with a grain of salt, including my own. I guess that is why we have badges now. But is seems people have found a way to get extra badges too. I have said this many times. I wish Buzztime would go back to the way it was 10 years ago and do away with all this crap. I know Dante would disagree being the badge junkie that he is. :P

Tie and I are good at poking fun at one another. If it were completely malicious there would have been many more adjectives thrown in there. Plus I know he doesn't care what I think about these things anyway. :D

Hell yes I double dipped. I need to increase my sports knowledge so I can hang out with the cool kids like you, SPOTES, LEWSER, ROIDS when it comes to the sports games that are worth money.

Add to that I don't enjoy playing THe with the 'bots & I'm typically the ONLY person sitting @ the bar, I need something to keep my ADHD at bay...besides my beer consumption. So I asked management's permission to put the sports on if no one wanted to play poker. Learning about old hockey, doubles leaders for various years, and what school Bob Lily played college football. I now remember that Eric Dickerson wore #29!

Does the fact that I've been playing on the laptop also discredit me in your holier than thou eyes, too? The fact that my schedule doesn't allow me to play the later games which are worth more P+Ps means that I've had to put more 'ass in seat' time than most. And I have to earn the points myself, not as some 'button pusher' awaiting a chance to sandbag a win.

And the bottom line is, I'm not a good enough player to win fabulous prizes. I play the games the way I want to, usually solo, and as those that have met me at various 'non-bashes' have seen, I'm not the healthiest of people, so I set a goal to get to 25 mil & reached it. I also play to win whatever game I'm playing. Hell, I even entered the cash money games...SOLO...against the Cali, Indy, & Houston TEAMS on the off-chance that BT asked a lot of fishing questions that day.

My midddle of the road average in CD hasn't suffered (FWIW-I hald 4 15K CD games yesterday solo while double dipping), my knowledge of sports has increased a little, I entertained myself, and I reached my objective before returning to work tomorrow.

And why I took the time to defend myself to yet another bagodouche criticism from you is, well, it's something else to occupy my time while playing trivia since poker is on at the site I'm at...damn...just bled 12 points to end with a 6988 for LTT. Curse you, BO...you cost me a precious gold medal and yet another badge!

:)

Hells bells. Somehow the idea of a self glorifying crapster representing his CD average as "middle of the road" when it's in the top 0.1% of all CD players sounds more than a lil modest. Image

I always thought instead of players plus, just accumulate your actual score in games.

People who score better would move up faster.

Congratulations to Ralph/POOH. He is a sweet older gentleman who has been punching buttons for a long time. He mostly plays Lunchtime and the early afternoon games. I like to tease him on his great Civil War knowlege. Nothing like first hand experience. Hope you have many more years, Ralph.

Yes, but that hack monkey is in GA. And it was hundreds of thousands of points, what an idiots.

Speaking of QB1, we could discuss DTHDLR blatantly cheating the lag in the GB/NO game yesterday.

The Fecker bunch no longer plays in Athens GA. Looked to me like he had relocated, and that is him.

This is the FECKER with 25MM P+ points. http://www.buzztime.com/profile?pid=217041
This is the FECKER in Athens who gamed QB1. http://www.buzztime.com/profile?pid=215168

Could it be the same guy? Sure. But the MN account sure has a lot of P+ points if it's a fairly new account.
