Our bar is participating in the traveling trophy contest this time and I noticed something interesting. For the first 2 weeks, some of the competing bars have only had 5 players and in each case their scores for that week were the average of those 5 players. In other words, the sum of their 5 totals were divided by 5.

The rules indicate that the "Score is calculated as: sum of top 6 site scores divided by 6".

I emailed Buzztime to ask for clarification. I am assuming that if you have less than 6 players, your sum would still be divided by 6. Otherwise, competing bars would do better to have only one person play with everyone supporting them and then just take that one score as the average.

Has anyone else noticed this or am I misinterpreting the rules?

Well, despite this godawful, horrible, grievous bungle by someone at NTN Buzztime Image, from the looks of today's standings (assuming they included last night's results) it hasn't made much difference, if any. Image
