New Scaratings

We at Teaser's are having a recurring game problem (since 12/31/2013) which I am hoping someone can help us with. The last question on many games seem to have a sort of hiccup/glitch where the question does not load correctly and our boards are temporarily frozen and we either don't get any credit for our answer on the final question of the game. This has happened every week on the final question of the Wednesday SIX game and very often on the other Wednesday evening games. It has happened once (to my knowledge) on Brainbuster and other Tuesday games but never on SHOWDOWN.

I have brought this up to the Tech crew at Buzztime on Facebook and they have been in contact with the owner and they say they don't see a problem... ditto the local rep. Does anyone have any suggestions? Could this be a hardware problem? Anxiously awaiting anyone's input . Thanks

If it doesn't happen on SD I wonder if that's because it's a legacy game. But I'm not certain which, if any, of the other games are older versions.

I would also wonder if it doesn't happen in Spotlight or Playback because those games have similar 50% final questions.

If tech went down those two roads I'd think some answers could be found.

I would have BT tech look at the computer at Teasers, Pete.

About a year ago at Hardtimes we started having short lock up problems mid game. It wasn't always on the last Q as in your case but it was for 1 ,2, sometimes 3 questions, so a longer lock up than yours.

After several weeks of calls and diagnostic checks (with BT saying they couldn't find anything wrong), BT finally replaced the computer and all was fine.

I'd start lobbying the owner to request a new computer from BT.

The other possibility I've heard of is a lock up caused by running the sports trivia channel at the same time as trivia. The rankings screens loading in from the sports channel can hang the trivia channel on some older computers or computers going bad. If you are running sports trivia instead of poker try putting poker on that channel and see if the problem goes away. At Hardtimes we were not running sports trivia so our lock up came from the computer going bad.

Wow that is an old computer, better get rid of that old thing fast. Pete, you are long over due for a new computer if it hasn't been replaced in 9 1/2 years. BT can't deny Teasers a new one if it is indeed that old.
