If you do decide to call in you need to tell the operator that you are a stockholder. If you say you are a player you will not be put in line to ask a question. I happen to be a stock holder and did ask a question last time. Got a 1/2 decent answer from Mr. Bateman. Any good question suggestions for this call? Not "why is there so much pop culture content". Something bigger picture? Maybe What are the plans for the Sports channel? or plans for going to 3 channels in the bars? or Are there any new games of substance in the works? |

I would avoid anything specific about specific games unless they broach the subject themselves earlier in the conference I would ask about the 3 channels of programming/2 channels of bandwidth bottleneck. It is the biggest problem facing the network right now |

I would avoid anything specific about specific games unless they broach the subject themselves earlier in the conference I would ask about the 3 channels of programming/2 channels of bandwidth bottleneck. It is the biggest problem facing the network right now Maybe, but I'm not convinced that there is enough demand for sports trivia to make that third channel (or even the third network) worthwhile. With enough prizes and promotion, enough of the regulars at a bar might play to make it look viable, but that would drop off sharply when the prizes dry up. I think there is a need to identify more clearly the benefits to the bars and how to achieve them. Getting patrons to stay longer (where that is one) might mean changes as simple as 1) more convenient access to Playmakers, 2) taking a minute or so from the repetitive NTN ads at the end of each game to show the rankings long enough for people to read them, and add a screen showing the ranking of the local bar, even if it is not among the top 20 or 50, or 3) having more local , state, or chain-wide competitions, and 4) providing the simplest of training for bartenders and managers. If it is to get new patrons into the bars (even once a week) who would not otherwise be there, theme nights on general knowledge themes such as natural sciences, geography, history, literature, etc., could bring in new regulars for each night as Showdown, and, to a lesser extent the entertainment theme nights (sports, Hollywood, and pop music), have done for years. Topix relating to the themes each night can help, but one half-hour is not enough to attract new patrons out regularly. |

Those are mostly good suggestions, but if they show the bar ranking, it should be REAL, not made up by the local server. |

Getting patrons to stay longer (where that is one) might mean changes as simple as 1) more convenient access to Playmakers, IMO, this isn't an NTN Buzztime issue, rather it is an individual site issue.Falcon wrote: 2) taking a minute or so from the repetitive NTN ads at the end of each game to show the rankings long enough for people to read them, and add a screen showing the ranking of the local bar, even if it is not among the top 20 or 50, Certainly, for the 10Q, 15 minute games.Falcon wrote: or 3) having more local , state, or chain-wide competitions, Nice idea, but from what many of us have seen, NTN Buzztime is having enough of a time running what they have now. Falcon wrote: and 4) providing the simplest of training for bartenders and managers. Ah, something tells me that whatever initial training might be given is not usually given to all of a site's personnel. IMO, just as big (if not bigger) an issue is with training employees who either were not present for the initial training or were hired after the initial training.

Pretty frightening numbers for 2011 if you hope BT makes it. Churned through 2.5+ million cash while equity declined by 3.1 million or roughly 33%. Operating expenses were up a million in the fourth quarter alone, on type of a revenue decline in the quarter and YTD. Everytime I look at their financials I am just amazed. |
