Alex Ovechkin deservedly wins his first Cup.Qualities of a winner-talent, enthusiasm, hardworking,team player etc.I can only imagine the thrill of winning this trophy-the oldest in professional sports.Coach Barry Trotz after 19 years also deserved it.He waited the longest in the history of the game to be coach of a Stanley Cup winner.Question-How does this compare to winning a trivia contest? |

Alex Ovechkin is glowing in victory.He is currently at San Francisco at Washington Nationals game wearing a Nationals uniform.This reminds me of when Phil Mickelson won his first Masters.He finally had his green jacket.He reveled in it for a long time.Yes, indeed the cherished moments of sports.And ,yes what a great tradition of hoisting the oldest tropy in Noth American professional sports the Stanley Cup, skating with it and then having your name engraved on it. |
