Post subject:  Zero points for correct answers

Here at Time Out West, we have been having a peculiar problem. It had been happening infrequently enough to not be much of an issue, but tonight (Thursday, April 25) it was happening a lot.

Sometimes a question will be answered correctly, the green bar will appear across the question, indicating that it had been answered correctly, but the score for the question will not be added in to the total. Later, the screen will indicate that the board involved received 0 points for that question. Not unique to any particular tablet. On any particular question, some boards will receive full credit, while others will get zero. This will even happen with questions where the answer is hit immediately, with plenty of time to get 1000 points.

Particularly irritating in a game like Six, where getting a zero on a question also costs you the bonus for the round.

Anyone else having this issue?

I've seen it on occasion, never as bad as described here.
The tablets are not communicating properly with the main computer in the bar. The tablet may show the correct answer but that never got trough in time to count.

Between games I would reset/reboot the bad tablets. Push and hold the small recessed button on top till (turn off or reset) message appears.

Also the data slow down can possibly be freed up by rebooting the main computer too.

If those 2 things don't work a call to BT tech support is in order. They are having a good bit of trouble these days.

It's definitely NOT the tablets!!!
Mike, we should get John to reboot the PC before we start.
