A popular pet peeve of recent Buzztime programming has been the reduction of top finishers from 20 to 10. So what does a site with the new stuff see?

You see a different number of locations/players depending on where you look. If you look at your app, you see 11, in the same old app format.

If you look at a TV screen, you don't see 10 or 11 or 20; you initially see 5:

Then the screen shifts downward, and you then see 6 through 10:

Another shift, 11 through 15:

One last shift, 16 through 20:

The same happens with the players.

There's another kind of screen you see a lot more of during a game:

If you say, "There's nothing there!" exactly. You get a blue-black screen with a few white letters/numbers on the bottom left corner. When do you see this? You see this between rounds and between the end of a game and the scores. No ads. No Buzztime stuff. Just a blank screen.

Presumably, this will be taken care of down the road, but for now, it almost makes you nostalgic for J.Q. Adams skinnydipping.:)

Angry Pepper just got the new system. The tablets are huge, but also baffling to most users. It took some trial and error to figure out how to log in.

A few changes I noticed:

1. I can't play as Lumpy anymore -- now I'm Lumpy24
2. The list of local high scores now shows 20 scores, however the list does not reset at the end of the month. Because we filled the Lunchtime list with 7,000's in April, there is no way anyone can ever make the list again. There are a few 15000's left on Countdown but those will be filled in a few weeks.
3. The national top scores for each game now can show more than one player from a single location.

I also worry that since these are Lenovo tablets they will be filched by people who think they can take them for personal use.

Thanks for the pics and info Stro. I still haven’t been to a BGN bar yet. Are you sure the app doesn’t manually scroll through 20 places? I forget where I was playing but I was surprised to find the app could scroll down through 20, more than just 10 as at my site hub bar.

Also I guess still no site hub bars seen in the rankings? Those bars in your pics appear to be BGN or box.

Lumpy, a few notes to your changes and I’m going off site hub app use so I hope these are still true at BGN bars.

1. You can edit what handle displays up on the screen in the log in screen, you should be able to get rid of the 24 only in the display area, not in the log in line above that.

2. On the local list of scores each score will drop off after 30 days and each new perfect score goes to the top of the list so the oldest perfect comes off. You can always get new perfect scores up there. Watch for the 30 day old scores to fall off if there’s any still up there.

3. Yes this is the worst problem with the new app (site hub or BGN). Other than incomplete rankings, not seeing all the bars depending on the system. I believe Aram said they were working on getting the rankings back to 1 player per bar. It’s very annoying to see 4 Angry Pepper players in the top 10 for the last year plus. Now you’ll see what you have been doing to us.

LOL I can't help it that Angry Pepper players won't listen to the bad answers I shout out!

Yup, the old perfect scores do roll off after 30 days, however I liked the prior system where a new perfect came in at the top of the board and pushed other perfects down,

I still can't figure out how to be LUMPY again. It let me change to Lumpi, but not LUMPY, It won't take all CAPS, either.
