Short meeting; perhaps most noteworthy item is Buzztime will have a baseball equivalent of QB1 by Opening Day. Number of locations currently with BGN "private;" they almost but not quite said that old-time locations had until the end of the summer to move over to BGN. Showdown bug in final question (which BTW is still there) pointed out, was news to management. Finally, Buzztime is going to kinda issue their own metal-based currency/medal system: silver coins with a Hercules theme which you buy (maybe at a discount) which may let you buy some stuff later on. |

Thanks for the info Stro. Glad someone is paying attention to these video meetings. They can stuff their stupid buzzcoin scam. Sounds like a ripoff. Except that now I see BT is offering $20 off for playing 4 times in March. Different thread started on this part. Do you have a sense that the possible end of summer deadline to switch over to BGN is for blue box and tablet bars only? Are the terrible sitehub systems being forced over too, I hope so. |

What is happening at these meetings is that Buzztime wants bar owners who want to get their game to show up, but it is a handful of players who make up most of the crowd, to their annoyance. No, they want everyone to change over, but I'm skeptical this is going to be easy, and keeping the number of BGN sites private is not a good sign. The big question is "Will Buzztime cut off places that won't upgrade?" and if you're not a place that wants to gain the ability to play Showdown or Spotlight, there's little reason for trivia players to push for an upgrade. |
