Some news on the Buzztime shorts:

The topic for March on these short games is the 2011 NCAA basketball championship and college basketball in general. I certainly will know more of those than all those poker questions.

The post also answers something that I think we weren't sure about until now...you do get PP points for answering these. You get 100 for playing and 100 more if you get more than 750 pts in a round.

Well, hell. Something tells me that there won't be even one lil question on the 1959 NCAA champions Image, and probably way too many on the 1960 champions.Image

Hey Joel, you'll appreciate this...
I have a college basketball quiz book from 1978 that has the question:
"Which west coast university won the NCAA basketball tournament in 1959?"
One turns the page and discovers that the answer that they have is...
"Stanford"
Can I safely assume that you were not involved in the editing of this work?

FWIW, that eternally damnable junior university did win it, but way, way back in 1942, followed by a 47 year hiatus, with (IIRC) Siena ousting them in the opening round. :lol:
