Sadly I announce the passing of my husband, Jim Wright, aka COOGS/CUUGS, of Houston, Texas. Fittingly Jim's celebration-of-life will take place at Catbirds (where we met playing NTN/Buzztime in September 1996), on the afternoon of Sunday, April 6, and will be Livestreamed. Sorry to hear about COOGS, he was a very longtime name on the boards a while back with the various Houston teams, for those that didn’t know. He, if I recall, was usually the top name in their scores, definitely a leading player on very good teams. While I never met Jim in person he was well known on the original Badbart yahoo and Buzztime’s own boards as well as here some. Condolences to Brooke and everyone in Houston and his trivia friends everywhere. |

We had a great mini-reunion Sunday of players from the "Golden Era" of NTN/BT in Houston (when there were over 60 locations, and rivalries both local and national were fierce on Showdown).
