I will be attending a conference the week of June 20th, staying at the Gaylord National Hotel. According to Buzztime, it looks like Fast Eddies is the place to be for trivia. Any confirmation or other ideas would be appreciated!

On Tuesdays, the best team in the area (actually, one of the best anywhere) is Jilly's in Ellicot City, MD (about 30 miles away).

I looked it up on the map. Since I unfortunately will not have a car, it looks like I will need to stay closer. Thanks anyway!

Not sure where the Gaylord is, but if it is near Dalles Airport there is some guy who plays under ZEBRA that visits this board nearby.

Since the Gaylord is part of the National Harbor Complex at the east end of the Wilson Bridge, Fast Eddie's Alexandria is your closest Taxi ride. Depending on what nights your talking about playing, a trip to downtown DC might be better Tuesday at the Grand Slam. I hang at Brittany's in Woodbridge which is a short walk from home but I work just north of the National Harbor Complex.

Alas, Grand Slam has not convened a team since the McCarthy Cup, and before that, the Sandbag tourney. You would likely be very lonely if you played there on a Tuesday.

It sounds like without wheels you are probably stuck with the short taxi ride to Fast Eddies Alexandria. The players there are mostly daytime, not too much action at night but you might get lucky.

Now don't confuse the Fast Eddies around DC, there is also one in DC that is a strip club on Fri/Sat night, good fun there. 8-)
The one in Alexandria is never a strip club.

The VA bars are too far in Woodbridge or Ashburn were you'd find players from the board.
My bar Hardtimes in Germantown MD is even further up in MD and Jillys is way up there.

Good luck at Fast Eddies.
