I will be on vacation and am planning to play Showdown on June 5th. I see that both Coasters in Elizabeth City, NC, and BWW-Chesapeake (VA) are frequently high up on the leaderboards. Does anyone have experience at playing at either location? I am currently leaning towards playing at the BWW due to its proximity to where I will be staying. I am also open to other locations - I have also played at the Black Pelican on the Outer Banks. |

Welcome to the boards Droll, glad to have another player on here. Too bad you're from OH, we are over limit on that state of confusion. I would pick bww Chesapeake, I see them more than the other two, often 4 or 5 nights a week. I haven't been there but someone who has does report they share. I have been to the Black Pelican, cool OBX place, loud, more drunk happy hour CD players than prime gamers. Definitely worth a visit but maybe not for SD. Fun crowd a few years ago. |

Unfortunately, we've had a change in plans, and I won't be able to make it tonight after all. I will be spending three weeks in NC in July, and will likely be out here again one of those days. |
