Hi all-- I am moving to Las Vegas (specifically Henderson) as of January 1 and am looking for a new home. I prefer Showdown (Tuesday nights work best with my work schedule) and non-borg. Any thoughts? Eric |

Any thoughts? Eric I don't usually play much on Tuesday nights, but the rest of the crew plays at BWW Las Vegas Blvd. I avoid the BWWs in Henderson the box lag is horrendous. I and the rest of the crew play at Club Fortune Casino, it is a pretty nice place to play. I live 5 minutes from Club Fortune, since I live in the aforementioned Henderson. |

Well, speaking of Las Vegas... As of my most recent lil peek into SiteFinder, The Sporting House at New York, New York, where ESPN Zone once was, has discontinued. However, there are presently two installations on The Strip. The first, Gameworks Las Vegas, was the site of one of the now gone Million $ Match finals a few years ago. The second is Todd English P.U.B. in MGM City Center. Based on prior experiences with both The Sporting House and the other past installation on The Strip (Blondie's at what was then The Aladdin, now Planet Hollywood) and a lil peek into both of their websites, I can expect to pay through my lil nose for both eating and my usual O'Doul's (assuming, of course, that it's available). ![]() |

We will be there the last week in December. |

The Sporting House is a decent place, but $27 pitchers keeps me away. Gameworks; it was a nice place to play and the prices were reasonable. Todd English P.U.B.; very nice place to play, the prices are steep, but come down some during happy hour. The food was excellent, I would make this place my regular hangout if it wasn't on The Strip. (They have a contest that if you can slam a beer under a certain time, the beer is free. Miss and you buy. I would go here if there was no limit on this special, alas, the limit is two) |

The number buying their beers would easily make up for the few that could pound the beer in 7 SECONDS. You have to have the pint of beer on the bar, the bartender turns over an egg timer and you have to have the empty glass back on the bar before the timer runs out in 7 seconds. Figure at least 1 second to pick up/put down so about 6 seconds to chug a pint. I'll have try a few experiments at Hardtimes tonight to see how close I am. |

I was there with LILJOL and I had no problem with their challenge. I would have done the limit, but I had a breastfeeding class to attend later that night. (I know, I know I am not the one breastfeeding she is...) |
