Comes from the Jim Rome Show, aka "The Jungle", sports-talk radio. I listen every day, 9 to noon Pacific. If a caller succeeds in completing a good call to the show, it gets "racked" for possible replay as "Huge Call Of The Day". Sometimes a caller, confident that his call did NOT suck, might finish call with something like "Rack me, I'm out!" Hence, "RACKME". Hmm... Rack me! The shortest, most succinct description I've ever made of my trivia name... Out!

Yeah, I was told much later that there is another usage of the term "getting racked". Apparently, that other definition of the term IS painful, and not G-rated. Well, I've been listening to Romey for 15+ years, had never heard it (of course, Rome wants to stay on the air... That might have something to do with it). |
