New look for BT site

BT has changed the look of the home page at their site.

Also when you go to your own page they have diffrent things for Gold Silver and Bronze.

Some of the text (scores, Player-Plus points, etc.) are quite faint due to font colors. What's wrong with just having black text?

It looks like they have made it more difficult to see your rankings on a particular game as well. You used to be able to get it from the trivia tab but it looks like they hid the drop-down box in the redesign to get to that information.

It's still there though...I can see it if I add "&dn=t7&stp=gh&d=0" to the end of the URL, e.g.

trivia tab has this URL: http://www.buzztime.com/players/bt_profile.php?pid=xxxxx&tn=trivia (replace the 'xxxxx' in here with your PID)

add: &dn=t7&stp=gh&d=0
http://www.buzztime.com/players/bt_profile.php?pid=xxxxx&tn=trivia&dn=t7&stp=gh&d=0

If anyone can find an easier way to get there, please share. I just wish they would put this screen on the "recent activity" tab.

And I vote for black text too.

Don't care for the light text color, but otherwise it seems unremarkable. I still shudder to contemplate why anyone would use those "share" buttons.

First look at my profile in a few weeks, and my first thought was "where did all my Top 100 and Gold medals go?"

Then I remembered Triviapalooza was more than 180 days ago

As for the update, I rather like it. The trophies are a nice touch, but the blue text for the links not so much

I haven't posted here much.. used to on the old forums... but I for one can not read the pages on the new site. White letters on a lite gray background, or light blue letters on white... give me a break. I emailed them and got the standard "forwarded to site development" or whatever reply. In addition they took away the last play date. Apparently they wish to cater to the younger crowd... and younger eyes... but the site to me is no longer useful. Another step in the WRONG direction Buzztime. BT has little success in attracting the younger crowd... and seems intent on turning off the older crowd. Four sites in my area have dropped BT in the last year. Pretty sad.

I like having the Recent Activity back on the front of the profile page, but the last play date was nice to have in addition because it updates in real time, while the Recent Activity is about a day behind.

That I agree with since you know is your teammates are at the home bar.....Maybe they should have the Recent Activity in realtime.

And that is exactly the benefit of the stat... it is real time... and you know if your buds are playing at your site. Maybe this is a ploy to force everyone to Facebook... but I'm not biting. Guess it doesn't matter much anyway since the site is virtually unreadable (to me anyway) and I wont be visiting it much.

The new badges are truly real time so look on the badges tab and it will tell if your bud are playing and getting badges.
