New Scaratings

Our little ad hoc Albuquerque group got together at Bostons again tonight for Six. Lately, we've been doing quite well, we've been #1 in the West a few times the last 2 months. Anyway, once again, after a good game on our end (#1 box was 58373), we didn't get any national results (or even a local board, for that matter). Just blank screens. Kinda sucked, as Six tonight was a bit tricky (other than final Six which was pretty easy), and we'd have loved to seen how the other top teams did on this game.

This is happening more and more on the premium games. 2 weeks ago, after a great Showdown round at Coaches, we got no national results at all. We checked the BT site the next day, and nada. We had to reconstruct scores by looking at individual bar results. We were once again #1 wetware bar in the West. A few days later, BT finally fixed the scores.

Come on Buzztime. Much of the fun of the game is getting results on a timely basis. We've had other weirdness, like the afermentionned Showdown game showing up in the database as all repeat games for the West (complete with the Scarlet Asterix). Poor Don Denton is having to hand-correct the Showdown results thanks to this error.

Anyone have any insight into the glitches that are causing these problems? Would guess there's not much we can do on our end to help. In at least one case, someone had to tip off Carlsbad about the Showdown West problem, and indeed, it was resolved in the database a few days after the event.

We never seem to get rankings in the Countdown game after Trendalicious - that's a glitch that's been ongoing for months. (Watch, we'll get rankings tonight ).

Buzztime seems to be claiming on Facebook it's a problem mostly on "slower computers."

This is asinine, of course, unless they have REALLY awful coders or are transferring data at 0.1k a second.

We had the same problem last night too. If BT had cut down on the excess time between the Marathon Round and the Final Six, there would be plenty of time. I'm not buying the slower computers unless they belong to BT.

I've already told BT via FB that it's not a slower computer at SRO OT that's causing us to miss the rankings, because our computer was replaced such a short time ago that we still haven't gotten scores to fill up all the historical leaderboard data screens that were wiped out with the change. Unless of course instead of giving us a new, fast computer, BT palmed off some old, slow one on us.
