Badge Hunter is coming back...EGADS!!!

Just saw on the BT schedule that Badge Hunter is coming back on Wednesdays from April 3 through early June.

Break out the champagne!

Well, this doesn't call for champagne, but I liked Badge Hunter for the questions one generally didn't see anywhere else. Do we know what game it replaces?

, this year's Badge Hunter replaces the Countdown game before Sci-Files. IIRC, last year it replaced the Countdown game following BrainBuster.

Are there actually people out to collect the gamut of badges? Or is that an NTN wet dream?

I thought any interest in badge accumulation would have died sometime back.

I rather enjoyed Badgehunter; good questions in topical areas (boxing, olympics, hobbies, soccer) you don't normally see. I'm all for it.

That's how I viewed the game the first go round. Pretty sure that I have at least one of all the badges ( haven't checked since last summer), so playing new material is incentive to play.

Or are they adding new badges. If so, I want a new "Log-in" badge.

Is anyone over there asking if the East/West content will be unique like it was last year?
Last year BT included specification that West would see different questions (unique content); this year, they apparently don't feel it's worth mentioning. It is, though.

From the BT Badge Hunter page:

"Wednesday nights from April 3rd - June 5th at 7pm ET/ 6pm CT/ 7pm MT/ 6pm PT"

Guess BT is making what was a national CD game at 7pm eastern into a split schedule.

Last year Badge Hunter ran on a split feed, on Tuesdays after BrainBuster, at 8:30 in the west.
Part of its promotion (and for me, all of its legitimacy) rode on BT's specific mention that the west would receive its own questions, Badge Hunter having run in the east two hours earlier like all split games.
At the time, I verified that east and west received a different badge sequence, but the discussion never really extended to specific questions, I assumed it was on the level, as promoted.
This year I fear they won't even try to legitimize Badge Hunter via unique questions for the west. They might be thinking that whole issue has blown over.

I'm thrilled that they are bringing back Badge Hunter. It was the only reason I was staying to play Brainbuster. Now I don't play it very often. I don't play Wednesday nights but this would be a reason for me to go out because I really enjoyed the topics of the questions. I have been sending messages to buzztime every couple months asking for Badge Hunter, always got the same reply of "Thanks for the feedback we will pass it on to our bosses" something like that.

That's what we figured out too, and are planning to get to Coaches Pub earlier so we can play it. It seemed last year to have more challenging questions than a regular Countdown game. I suspect this will be a better slot for it, because it seems like a better warmup for Sci-Files than the third game in a very challenging lineup, and as NTN/BT has discovered with the now-not-so-new schedule, people are more inclined to be playing before the premium game than staying after it.

I got 98 out of 100 badges in the first month of this promotion playing 1-3 days a week.
After all this time I'm still missing those same two badges: Attacker and Triple Double Trouble.
I can't imagine why folks would lose interest in this stuff.

I have all the badges now, and I've had them for some time, but I still plan to play. My only gripes are that Badge Hunter was a little sports-heavy, and asked too many questions about sports like boxing that aren't my cup of tea. But the soccer questions make up for that.

Again, not worth breaking out champagne for, but I will welcome Badge Hunter's return.

I am kind of playing to get the badges because I got one of the pins last year from Badge Hunter and I would like to be able to get one again. Hmm. Looks to me like there are 106 badges. I have 101. I'll give badge hunter a try, but I'm not worried about the missing ones.

Those other six badges came along later and they are merely participation badges for particular games and not based on specific topics.

I'm curious to see if I can "back up" all my singleton badges, namely A to Z, Attacker, Dunkadelic, KO!, Salam, Triple Play, and Zen Master

Funny thing about that Salam badge, I recall getting it in my third game after the badges were introduced. You'd think I would've stumbled upon another one after all that time, at 'Palooza if anyplace, but nope

A Chick Magnet awarded for a penguin question would be nice, too
