And those of us who appreciate real trivia questions in real trivia games ranked against all time zones are tired of it as well. Do you really enjoy a product that is 20% of what we had 10 years ago? I sure don't.

Tell you what, how about you spend a couple of weeks in the west feed playing premium/specialty trivia games and then report back as to how you feel? After all, it's super cool to score 20% of the points in one of those and crack the top 20 individuals.

Although BO makes a point, it does not, in my opinion justify repeatedly insulting their company and throwing F-bombs all over the forums. I think the split is stupid too, but I don't think their company is full of morons and I never will. To the extent that I choose to spend my non-work time playing trivia, I find lewser's comments extremely offensive. If he cannot constructivly express his viewz, then perhaps he can take his F-bombs and hateful comments elsewhere.

Perhaps in your mind it doesn't justify using f bombs, but it does in my mind. I am not going anywhere anytime soon, and I will continue to say Buzztime is full of fucking dipshits until they get rid of the split and return a sports trivia game. Until then I will say whatever I want, and there isn't anything you can do to stop it.

Edit: because the constructive criticism everyone else has used has worked out so well?

An easy solution to the ZOG/LEWSER thing would be adding an ignore feature. Admittedly, I know nothing about setting up a forum or what would go into adding this, but I've seen this function on several other forums.

Go to member list and select member. Then hit the " add foe" button. This should put that person on ignore. Sadly, Dante has removed that option on his name for me and I have to read all the crap he posts on here.

That's a shame. It was one of the better Countdown games I've played in a while. I especially liked the fact they didn't softball the Pagoda question (Yangon) like they normally would when they'd list stupid shit like "Iceland" "The Moon" etc.

No rankings in the HOF or no rankings after the game last night? (We had rankings in the East zone.)

Also, have we ever determined whether the West zone game is a repeat or fresh content?

There is no HOF, but there is a ranking assigned to your individual score, and it seems to have behaved fairly normally when compared to the after game rankings, when same-location players are added back in dropping the rankings displayed after the game for all but the top finisher. I dropped from 5th displayed to 10th calculated, which is about normal as a ratio in my admittedly subjective experience. No idea on W feed content of course but Q1 was the month of the KY Derby and Q15 was, IIRC, on frottage (the art technique, not the paraphilia) if a left coaster can confirm what they got.

I enjoyed the game, but I was amused that they didn't show the badges after the questions, as they do in all other badged games. I'm sure most of you know how ridiculous I think the badges are in general. The only thing I enjoy in the least about the badges is that the actual graphic occasionally amuses me. I find it odd that in the one game that's designed to have "interesting" badges, they don't actually show them.

Another problem is the badge screen wasn't shown on the monitors but instead just shown how ppl did on the question....how do i know what badge was earned by other ppl when its not shown on the screen?

Given the rarity of some of those badges, I believe the answer to your question is provided by the same argument I give to people as to why there are no good photos of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, or Frank Stallone with a sensible haircut.

To answer a few questions:

We are no longer airing Canada Eh? on Wednesdays.

While this plays on two feeds, each feed will have different content, but the same Badges available.

I'll try to get this game added to the HoF.

Well, I played this last Wednesday and picked up the Photo-Finish Badge.

Just played Badge Hunter for the first time... Not a bad game, fresh questions. The badges matter to me about as much as soccer does (zero), but the names they come up for them can be mildly entertaining...

Am currently "playing" SciFiles, in other words hitting random buttons while typing this and waiting for Six.

There were two in a row during Countdown tonight. Someone is going to be sacked!

Since there were two in a row does that mean that the one who sacked the writer will also be sacked?

Not only that, all the Topix games in June will be about llamas.
