Here's what I've seen. Before they started messing with it in the past couple weeks, it was always somewhat slow. Anytime you clicked on something, it took a couple seconds to load. Not horrible, but not the instantaneous results you get from most websites. Last week, after they were finally back up from the prolonged downtime, it seemed much faster. Pages loaded instantly instead of the usual delay. That lasted a few days and all was well. For the past week or so, things have been really really slow. Not just the normal 2-3 second delay of old, but a long delay of many seconds or even a few minutes before pages load. I do wonder if someone's launched a Denial of Service attack against them, because that's what it seems like. On the other hand, it could just be the normal incompetence we've come to know and love from America's most mismanaged company.

i like to check when i get home from playing to see the (blush) pp i have earned - have been unable to do that until way late into the next day. Used to be that i could check when i got home from the bar around 3 pm - and by 4 am next day see my rankings against others.
been impossible lately until much later in the day

Hard not to chuckle when they post about periodic maintenance somewhere other than the actual website it's going to occur on. Although I guess there is a non-zero chance that I missed it on the BT site, but I doubt it.

I believe the problem is that they changed all the links. When I logged into buzztime.com/players it pulled in my data and I noticed that the http string was half as log as before. Edited favorites property to match the new string and no problems. :D

As of 2:49 ET on 5/29, all of my May Buzztime play disappeared, except for 5/1, and I only register 89 total games played, with all of my May medals gone.

StringZ and WingZ is not showing up on either Brainbuster or Showdown for last night.

The top sites for the Premium games are now all listed as from Carlsbad, CA with none of the usual suspects showing anywhere on the boards.

Buzzies, methinks thy site hath been hacked.

It sure looks loke a hack to me. My accounts show play on games that I've never played (Showdown Canada) or even heard of (French Countdown). My home site shows four total golds, although my ZOG account has eight.

Check your profiles. My email address was changed to an @ntn.com address so personal info may have been accessed. My home state was also changed. Called buzztime and they said that this was routine maintenance but something doesnt feel right with personal info changing and the HoF being so screwed up.

At least one of my e-mail addresses was also changed.

Edit; as of 4:05pm EDT everything seems okay again.

Hey all,

I just wanted to address some of your concerns with Buzztime.com. I know it's been up and down for the last few weeks. We have been having server problems and today we took the site down for a couple hours to migrate over to our new servers. There was a small hiccup when the servers were pointing to an old back-up (if I am translating IT speak correctly) and this is when you may have noticed our site with incorrect information.

But don't fret! There was not a hacker taking player information or anything like that. The server migration was successful so hopefully your experience on Buzztime.com should be smooth. If it is not, just let me know!

Thanks
:)
