Went to the Mellow Mushroom in Buckhead last night, where we were handed new tablets.

Using our login names and / or email addresses, the wife and I were unable to log on, got "Connecting to Buzztime", then a delay, then some kind of problem message indicating the Internet connection must be down.

A player whose home was the MM was playing with no difficulty, and rankings appeared on the boards as we kept trying to log on. I asked for the old playmakers which were still there, and trvia and Texas Hold'em were no longer available.

Server said they had had the tablets about a week, and another visiting player couldn't log on.

She suggested I create a new id; told her I wouldn't and we cashed out and left.

At least you got new tablets. It will be another year before KY sees them. :P

Yes, we've been dealing with a similar problem for a couple of months now at Stringz and Wingz. Some boxes can log on, some can't, and forget about wireless devices. They say they are working on it.

I wanted to weigh in on the "create a new account" line of reasoning. I have accumulated 11.2 million players plus points, and I know they ultimately don't count for anything, but I still want credit for playing. If they are telling long-timers, "eh, just create another log in" or, even worse, "play as a guest," yeah, I think I am cashing out and either finding a place that IS connected, or just giving up on playing...for a night, for a week, or who knows.

Well, hell. All things considered, something tells me that few if any of us are in a great hurry to see the tablets roll out.

Apparently both of the BWWs here in NTN Buzztime's Site-Poor Backyard now have the tablets (Santee had them from their opening; Chula Vista just got them), per the listing on the NTN BT website. It also looks like sites with tablets are unable to play that godawful, horrible pseudo sports game FPULSE. Image

Wonder if new BWWs get tablets upon opening?

I told my server I had 20 million players plus points and I wouldn't be creating a new account.

Did she have any clue what pp points are?

No they don't. The BWW Gaithersburg MD just opened a few weeks ago with blue boxes. No lag at all and plenty of TVs on trivia all the time. Too bad the food is not so great.
