Phuque? Really? Are you people not even capable of typing an obscenity? Just say fuck, who gives a fuck? It won't fucking bother me.

And had I said anything in the past about stupid questions? It wasn't until my stupid question was called out while dozens of others were ignored that I said anything.

But hey, perhaps you guys should be congratulated. After all, you all have taken a website that was supposed to be for discussing BT and it's game, to a place where maybe 10% of the posts concern BT. That's really awesome, that thread where people insult each other is truly amazing. Why would anybody want to discuss BT when people can be idiots over and over?

This has to STOP...!

This is NOT a place for pissing contests. It's time for those of you, who have their dander up to back off. These back and forth insults will only escalate, and lead nowhere. Step back for a second, and think how silly all of this bickering is. You will wake up in the morning and think, "Good God, I can't believe I posted that last night."

I'm not saying that you have to kiss and make up. However, I will be very proud of you if you drop out of this pissing contest, and very disappointed in you if you don't.

Let's just get back to asking trivia questions on this thread. :D

p.s. My use of the word "you" applies to everyone, who got into this pissing contest.

I don't know if there is a trivia question up here after all of what has been going on. So I'll stick my neck out and toss one out, even though I know it's not my turn. (If I am stepping on somebody's toes, I apologize, and everyone can disregard my question.)

I know you guys and gals have been waiting for another "Howdy Doody" question. You don't have to wait anymore. Here it is:

What "Star Trek" actor appeared on the "Howdy Doody" show?

Cloudy, BO posted a very good question about Hawaii and movies on Oahu brach, when he posted the answer to his riddle. This is the current open question. Hold up on your question until his is answered. Thanks

OK, new question, sticking with the Hawaii theme.

Name two major theatrical releases since 2000 that were set and filmed on the North Shore of Oahu.

I can think of three, one of which was a box office flop although it had a top notch cast, the other two grossed at least $50 million apiece. Obviously there could be movies I am unaware of so I may have to double-check unexpected answers. And we're not talking documentaries or anything here, standard Hollywood pictures.

Is one of them Soul Surfer, a true story move about a girl whose arm was bit off by a shark and she went on to win a surfing championship? I know it is based in Hawaii but not sure if the brach setting is correct

Not sure when Blue Crush was released, but that was set somewhere in Hawaii, I think. Ex-stepdaughter liked that movie, so I had to see it a couple of times.

I thought somebody would guess Soul Surfer but it takes place and was filmed on Kauai.

Blue Crush is correct, in terms of difficulty I consider that the middle answer of the three movies.

Nope. Have no clue where it was filmed but it definitely was not set on the North Shore of Oahu.

And if your unicorn question is easily googleable nobody here will complain.

Okay, disregard my question, I kind of thought that I was out of order. However, if I ever get a chance to ask another question on this thread, my retracted question just might pop up again, so start Googling the answer now, just in case it ever gets asked again.

I did some research, and while Soul Surfer was filmed in part in Oahu, my research can't find anything stating "North Shore", which your question clearly stated, so I won't contest your rejection of my guess. You might throw my next guess out as well. The 2001 movie Pearl Harbor was filmed on Oahu, but without doing research, again I can't prove or disprove if any footage was filmed on the North Shore. I don't want to risk researching Pearl Harbor because I might encounter the correct answer to your trivia question on the 'net, which I prefer not to do. Would this be one of the movies?

Soul Surfer took place on Kauai, not Oahu, therefore it's a moot point if some of it happened to be filmed on Oahu.

Pearl Harbor is a no and I did double-check it. My question stated took place and filmed on the North Shore, to eliminate any technicalities, this means that at least the vast majority of the film takes place AND was filmed on the North Shore of Oahu.

To eliminate any confusion going forward, Honolulu and Pearl Harbor are on the opposite side of Oahu as the North Shore.

100% of Blue Crush took place on the North Shore as did the more difficult answer to this question. 90%+ of the easier answer took place there.

Seeing the list for the Razzy awards nominees made me wonder if the Sandler movie, 50 First Dates, which took place in Hawaii, was filmed on the North Shore. A quick search about the movie confirms that some of it was filmed @ North Shore.

That's not a bad answer and one I had not initially considered although I've seen it many times. But the only scenes that took place on the North Shore are the flashback to the car accident and then reminiscing by the big tree later. The majority of the movie, house, animal park, breakfast spot, takes place around Kaneohe which is on the east coast.

But, unless somebody magically pulls two valid answers by tonight, you'll have the right to ask the next question.

Well, doesn't look like the other two movies will be answered. I considered the easy answer to be "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", a movie I figure most have seen but apparently didn't know it was filmed and took place at Turtle Bay, the only hotel on the North Shore. The more difficult answer was "The Big Bounce" adapted from the Elmore Leonard novel. It flopped at the box office even though it starred Owen Wilson, Morgan Freeman, Gary Sinise, Charlie Sheen, Willie Nelson, and Vinnie Jones among others. But it's special to me as I frequently vacation at the beachfront bungalows where much of the movie was filmed.

So apparently Oahu's North Shore is my Rome, NY. Ha.

So I guess Tiefly is up.

BO, given the choice between Oahu's North Shore and Rome, NY.......unless you like icy cold most of the year, the choice is easy

So why does the H3 not have an HOV lane? (I figured out why this is after tooling around the island one afternoon)

Engineers didn't want motorists to develop Carpool Tunnel Syndrome.

I'm a little late, but I must compliment BO for a very creative riddle. I'll also say that it's pretty funny. I think I'll bounce this one off of Jessie. It's much better than most of his goofy jokes.

p.s. The answer was a pun and play on words as I asked earlier, when I was still trying to figure out an answer.

I'll try something non-fishing related:

On April 8th, 1963 (a Monday), where could you have found Rocky Marciano, Ted Williams, Eddie Arcaro, Jesse Owens, Tony Trabert, and Roger Ward?

I have no idea, although the date suggests Opening Day at a baseball game. (I don't think that would usually fall on a Monday, though.)
