What a very diverse list of people. I can't imagine them all being at the same place at the same time. This has to be a tricky question. I'm gonna guess that the answer has to be somewhere where just their names appeared together. How about a magazine, newspaper, or some other publication? Which one...? I have no idea. (If right, is a general answer good enough?)

How about Beckley, West Virgina...?

I've Googled my ass off, but cannot come up with an answer that I would bet money on. However, knowing you, this just might be right.

If it is, please tell us the story behind it.

I thought Beckley was in the southern part of the state.

How about a either 100 year civil war anniversary other something related to state hood. Perhaps in Princeton

Beckley is in the southern part, so is the correct answer, which is NOT Princeton.

However, the state centennial in 1963 is the reason all were at the same place.

I remember passing through Lewisburg on my way from Lexington Ky to eastern North Carolina. Isn't it in the southern part of west Virginia?

Last guess without goggling the answer would be Centennial, West Virginia

Charleston was in the news due to the chemical spill. Is it south enough?

Charleston is correct & south enough (about 2 hours south of Bport).

It was in celebration of 100 years of statehood for Hillbillyville. Saw an article in Goldenseal magazine for WV 150 anniversay last year of Ted Williams speaking and did some research on other speakers.

You're up, brudda

In honor of my 50th birthday, and the 50th annivsary of the Beatles arriving in the United States (both occured on February 7th, 1964), here's a question about their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.

Referencing this link:

http://www.edsullivan.com/artists/the-beatles

The Beatles opened their performance with "All My Loving", then "Till There Was You" and ending the set with "She Loves You". At the end of the show, they closed with "I Saw Her Standing There" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

Of these five songs, "Till There Was You" is somewhat of a ballad, while the others would be considered more up-beat. "Till There Was You" also has two major distinctions from the other four songs performed that night. What are they?

The only song not written by the Beatles' and that song was mostly performed by women, that is my guess.

It was indeed the only song of the five performed that was not written by the Beatles. Im looking for something else for the second answer.

It was the only song to not be on the billboard top 100.

Your second answer is also correct. Good job. You have the next question

Correct. It is also the only surviving vessel to have served in WW 1 and WW 2. I went to see it last summer for the first time in ten years, and it is only ten minutes away

This sucks. My guess was trully a guess, and I had no question prepared.

I would like to hand the baton to Cloudy, as he asked an interesting question, although it was out of turn. To refresh, here's a quote of his question:

What "Star Trek" actor appeared on the "Howdy Doody" show?

I don't mean to be an echo, but that would be my question. I doubt anyone will know the answer off of the top of their head, so go ahead and Google it to your heart's content. :D

(Why do I make my questions so easy to Google...?)

Don't be cute... I can tell that you know the answer. Good goin'...! However, put the answer up there, before someone else does. I'd hate to see you lose out to someone, who Googled the answer, especially after the great clues you game them. :(

Come on, ICEMAN, tell us that it's William Shatner...

Okay, even though ICEMAN never really answered the question, I'm gonna give it to him, because he was real close...

ICEMAN, the torch has been passed. You're up...
