We all know BT isn't supposed to, but do you really think some joker at BT would agree to combine accounts worth 98MM?

Yes, I do.

Though I agree it's more likely it's someone hacking or glitching. :)

Mitchwolf mentioned on another thread that two of the inactive P+ players over 25 million had been removed recently. Anyone interested could probably work out who those were and see if they were alter egos of Euromom (or simply deceased players that he had persuaded someone were his other boards). It is hard to imagine any other good reason for making a long-time player's name disappear from the records, although Buzztime has never shown much appreciation of their own history, nor interest in preserving it.

One thing I know since I started under three years ago is that people who don't play within a year gets removed off the top 1000 list and off the site page til they play again. Best policy is if you got an account, play a few games per 6 months just to keep it active.

I don't think the recent point drop of the 1000th place player has anything to do with the hacker at all.

Is it possible to earn 154800 points in eleven days? Because that's what he has gotten in march so far it seems.

Yes, it's very possible. That's a little bit over 14000 points a day. Excluding any "refer a friend' and such, it can be done in under 7 hours a day, which I know many people do. Depending which games you're playing, it can be done quicker than that.

Yes, but it would take a really dedicated effort for one player.

One day, early in my NTN pursuits, around 2001 or so, I was at Rookies (Cromwell, CT). At the time, NTN showed the leading players for the current day. Just before I left, at around 11 PM or midnight, this one player, who obviously had nothing better to do, had 17,000 PP points for that day. And this was a total that increased by 1,000 points or so every half hour, as one would expect from just playing out the games. He must have been there all day playing trivia. No, I don't recall who this person was, I only recall the PP total. But, based on this, it's possible to accumulate at least 187,000 points in 11 days. In fact, if anything, it would be easier to do than in 2001, thanks to BT Trivia giving 900 PP points every 15 minutes (provided you score 6,000 points). But it would still take a truly dedicated effort to do it.

Now, how "Robert" truly accumulated his points is anyone's guess.

And now with the cards you can pick up a ton of points. Card 15 net me 15K and I did the card in 4 days, and I only play usually 3 days a week on avge. So with diligence you can definitely pick up PP+ points. I heard card 16 gets u 20K.

The shorts now is another factor of getting lots of points, too. 100-200 points per question can really add up.

While you were in Madison with the striking teachers, did they teach you how to use punctuation?

No!! They did not. I know I suck at that stuff. Will try and work on that.

I notice that the account isn't growing very fast (if at all) now. I wonder if BT froze it.

Did you look to see that he is playing nearly every day?

And I wonder why he changed his name to U S A?

Robert aka "U S A" has been dropped to 18,957,700 over night. Apparently the buzzies are monitoring this site or someone forwarded the data.

Excellent, but let's not forget that he was reduced back to a similar number a couple of months ago and overnight jumped back into the 90MM range. We must be vigilant and not let our guard down!
