Separate from the issue of the West Feed, do you prefer playing the premiums at 8E/7C versus the old 9E/8C ?

If you like it better, is it worth what they have done to the west coasters, and removal of their live competition ?

I really do like it better at 8:00; I know I will play more premiums because of it.

Haven't decided yet if I like it enough to be worth shafting the serious players on the West Coast. I like it enough to shaft the casual players, though. :D

What is an answer of "Yes" or "No" supposed to mean?

FWIW, I prefer the earlier times personally, but the hour difference is minor to me, whereas to a West Coast player who works during the day it may mean playing or not playing. Because of that, the hour-long game should be at 9:00 ET.

I suspect this question might be better served with more shaded response options, such as: Strongly prefer earlier; somewhat prefer earlier; no opinion; somewhat prefer later; strongly prefer later.

I know that I CAN play more premium games with the set up now.

I don't know that I will, except Thursday SIX since the local site is giving away gift certificates to the winner for the next month or so.

Although I never score well enough to be a factor on the national boards, I would prefer to lose agaisnt all time zones, than to just be an east coast feed loser, baby.

My interpretation is if you prefer the Premium at 8/7 central, vote Yes. If you prefer it at 9/8 central, vote No. If you prefer any other time, your opinion doesn't count. If you live in the west, sit quietly out of the way until the answers are forwarded to your mobile device ;)

I ended up voting "No" but it's more because I don't like playing specialty games after the premium except for Trendalicious, which has always been an after-premium rather than warmup game, and I don't like starting out with the premium on Saturday. Also people on our Showdown team are finding it more of a challenge to get there on time.

However, it's not a particular problem for COOGS and me to get there at the earlier time, and if that change has allowed the apparent increase in player count on the premiums in the East zone, then we can certainly live with it. But clearly the later time slots are doing nothing to increase those player counts in the West.

I voted no because I can't get to the bar where I want to play Spotlight until about 8:15pm. So now it's either go to a bar within closer driving distance or don't go at all.

I guess since Saturday is the weekend, it doesn't really matter...although Playback used to be (way back in the day) at 10pm. Then it was 9pm. Now it's 8pm. I like to have a couple hours of warmup before Playback, but none of us like getting to the bar before 6pm. So now it's either arrive earlier or have less warmup time.

I like the 1 hour time scheme (the faster pace) but I still prefer 8:30 ET... just what fits in my schedule especially b/c we have a pretty solid drive to get to our location.

personally i prefer the earlier start time for the premium games. our team plays every thursday and usually tuesdays. we also play the other weeknights two or three times a month. 8 p.m. is a better time for us most days of the week.

that being said i can say unequivocally that it is not worth the split. we have recognized for years that this was a compromise made necessary by the four time zones in the lower 48. we accepted the later times for games as the best compromise for all times zones to play at the same time. (as an aside i have long advocated for two time zones in the lower 48 and not just because it would be better for trivia.)

ntn had the right compromise for the issue from the very beginning to change now seems a complete misunderstanding of why the product is popular at all.

I like the earlier start times, aside from the split. Felt nice leaving earlier last night (First time I had managed to leave earlier...)

We're leaving earlier too but it doesn't make up for the fact that our Western counterparts are getting the short end of the stick.

The only premium game I really play anymore is actually starting one half hour later than before. So this poll really isn't designed for me, Scar.
Just like in real life, my vote means nothing... sniff...:(

I play trivia to prove I know more useless crap than everybody else.
The minute "everybody else" is bowdlerized to "only those in two time zones whom we require be registered users", the convenience of scheduling becomes irrelevant.
