As far as drawing in new players, I think it's a good move. People see them and say, "Ooh - I want that!" Mind you, I still think the badges are ridiculous, but if they're going to be there, displaying them on the screen is the right thing to do. It makes a lot more sense than telling you about it on the Playmaker, instead of displying your score and rank, at least.

I agree on that. They can see what type of badges are they online. Also they show only the top 5 scores after the games ended on the screen.

Agreed. Showing only the top 5 is a ridiculous move and should be fixed.

Don't care for the new scoreboards. They may be okay in a place with fairly light play, but in a busy NTN bar it would be a disaster. The badges promotion is cute if I only have to look at my playmaker to see what the latest one was, but the new scoreboard is definitely pushing these stinking badges a bit too far.

I much prefer the former scoreboards.

Saw the badges on the scoreboard yesterday...first I had played this week. I found them sort of annoying, but a born-again (forgot old password from years ago, started a new account) player at my site likes them...guess that's a split vote.

I guess part of the badge promotion is to get people to go on-line to see what they actually mean/do. I still don't know, really, but I've over a thousand of the critters.

And FWIW-- @ BWWs, the lag issue results in many 988 scores & no stinking badges for folks. If I actually cared about them, I'd play elsewhere...like that's an option in my one-site town.

I dunno. I've seen the badges work for newer/less frequent player enjoyment. As much as it probably pains "regulars," they seem to be having a decent effect, at least round here.

I kind of like them, personally, though they don't really influence my play at all. Much prefer the content levels now, versus those.

Completely agree about content. Now when I miss questions, at least I can gain some useful information from them at times. Unlike the reality show winner questions...EGADS!!!

NEW PLAYERS?????

Any new players will be too slow to ever be seen on the screens. They will not make the top 5 and will see NOTHING for hours on end.

When BT change things back in 2008, On the first month the symbols didn't show up next to our handle. It signifies to anyone who is a bar regular or not. With so many ppl changes home bars a lot. I just want clarity of who's a visitor or not when ppl joined in a game late.

Maybe BT is doing some test bars before rolling it out everywhere. Maybe those that do have the new terrible screens should complain on FB, on the BT website or even call 1-800-745-4686. This is as bad as any of the recent changes except for the split.

Complain about all of the changes.

That could be it. Well why test now when they should've tested a month. I may need to call about the Spotlight Network Rankings glitch.

Yesterday's screens at BWW did not show badges. It was the unreadable white on orange background "Wing Day Special" screen. Not sure if more than 5 would show, since I was the only one playing.
