Since i woke up late today, I end up playing during suppertime (Including the Pulse).

I got a 24k+ scored and with my 5 boxes made BWW-O'Fallon a 17 ranking.

Stopped by my trivia hangout for dinner this evening just before The Pulse aired. Never even considered grabbing a box or five. Anybody who reads the sports page or watches SportsCenter daily can finish top 5, no real sports knowledge required. The funny thing is, a 20k location score can still get a top 10. Just shows how few players/locations take this game seriously.

Played five boxes at Pocket's Pool and Pub in Tallahassee, FL 3/25. Congratulations to CSHMNY and Walsh's for their #1 individual and bar ranking.

You're right Bo. I ranked #3. The only hockey question I remember is which NHL teams has the worst record? (Buffalo Sabres)
They actually asked a question from the college bowl season again, who sponsored the Armed Forces Bowl Game? (Bell Helicopter)
Tina Maze is an accomplished (skier). Britney Griner wears uniform #? (42--I hate uniform number questions)

Pocket's is a huge participant in Poker tournaments playing at 7 every night. Players cannot log back in after going broke so they play Trivia as an afterthought, recapping their poker game. The waitresses are more attentive and the food is better than Hooter's who pulled the plug 3/18.

A whopping three locations broke 20k (of 30k) last night while according to the individual scores the game is not any harder. Almost none of the former dominant sports teams simply don't participate any more due to the format of the game. Pretty sad that watching one hour of TV a day can translate into a top 3 location finish in a national game of sports trivia.

I played this game once, on the inaugural week. Have not felt the need to to return since. Still depresses me. Unable to comment on current content or degree of difficulty since I dont play, nor do I know anyone locally who does. I do check the top scores weekly but that has been of no motivation to get me out and and play this shell of a game.

Well, the Pulse is now a year old and I played it the first week and that's it. Pretty sad considering we had a small group that congregated each and every week to play on Monday nights for years and haven't since. And judging by the location scores we're not the only team that feels that way.

I originally intended to get in ten games just to get a national ranking but then, as I thought about it further, a high national ranking against a bunch of guys that don't know a single sports fact from before last week doesn't really count for much.

I do not see any national rankings for "No Pulse Detected" game from last night. Was the game played, or cancelled due to lack of interest?

According to several sites that always play The Pulse, it appears that CD aired instead. Let's hope that doesn't happen for SD tonight. Riots would break out instead of next to nobody noticing.

Let's hope it happens from now on to all games. I wish this company would just die quickly.

It's hard to believe coming from a prick like me, but in this context, "next to nobody" is a huge complement. Am really curious to know if BT is even aware of this.

And for what it's worth, everything worked fine tonight.

I hate sports games and very, very seldom work on Mondays, but as fate would have it, I happened to work last night and we have one regular who really enjoys The Pulse, so I noticed. I waited until the CD rankings were up to call BT. The rankings included lots of East Coast locations and pretty high scores, so I surmised that it was not a local issue. Customer Service got back to me with, "The game should have loaded, so we're thinking that you may have had a power outage or someone opted for CD instead."

"No," said I, "We've had no power outages and I'm the only one here who actually knows how to change to game. There were way too many East Coast bars playing CD for this to have been a local issue."

"Well that's what the (game engineers?) told me."

"And I am telling you that they are wrong. And you should probably let them know. Please tell them what I said about the CD rankings and what that indicates."

Twenty minutes later they called back to let me know that I was right. Apparently, The Pulse did play, but only at a handful of bars. The vast majority got CD. They still didn't know why, but at least they know it was an issue.

Played Pulse tonight. It didn't take too long to remember why I usually don't. All recent sports trivia and an awful format. The only thing with a pulse was me and it was barely beating...To top it off, we did not get any network rankings. Had a decent score but didn't care that much...

However, even the "awful" format's ubiquitous blandness is vaulted into the stratosphere of unfettered triumph when compared to that content.
That game is an insult to sports trivia players everywhere.
Let me know when Pastimes is nothing but ten questions taken from last week's San Diego Tribune.

I truly wish that some competent person who gives a shit would run this company.
That's my Christmas wish...

First week with no QB1 being selected instead of The Pulse in some locations.
